My Story
Since I was a child, I would go to local craft festivals and fairs with my mom and grandma (aka Mommaw) to find homemade soaps with oatmeal during winter months and lemongrass in summer to deter insect bites. Then one Christmas my family decided to do homemade gifts instead of buying gifts, which made it tons of fun for each person to come up with their own idea! And my perfect idea was soap!
I started off with simple kits and tutorials that I found interesting and fun which grew to making small batches of soap year-round to use for gifts for friends and family, especially during the holidays. I loved trying new ideas and projects from using shimmering mica to add depth and dimension to making a soap that mimicked a blueberry tart, the possibilities are endless.
After several years making soaps, I decided to branch out to all bath products I found interesting including hair masks, body butters and scrubs. Friends and family encouraged me to start selling my products and that’s how Relaxing Admiral was born. I chose the name after a type of butterfly called the Red Admirals, which is one of my favorites.
And like many, I dreamed to combine my love of butterflies with my love of bath products and make a business. I hope you enjoy these products as much as I do, and I look forward to sharing my passion with you!
